I have available, the use of various Remote Support software, some that install and some that don't...some that will let me see your PC, phone or tablet without being able to control it, and others that give me control to fix it myself (always with the option that you can close the session at any time). AND, you can always see what it is that I'm doing, and of course I will explain what I'm doing at every step of the way. PLEASE be very mindful of remote support...only let someone that you trust implicitly to have access to your computer via this medium. There is also a number of other options for when it really does need 'eyes on' and these vary depending on what devices and apps you have available at your end. Then you can show me what the problem is. This is far superior to you trying to describe the screen to me. Never has the phrase 'a picture paints a thousand words' been more applicable. Often, just seeing something is enough for me to know what to do.
Setup/Repair/Customise
Sometimes I can fix things over the phone but often I don’t get enough information to understand the problem. It may look like a problem with your email but in fact be an issue with your internet connection.
It really helps to know what operating system you’re using, what program you’re using, and an error number if possible but most importantly that you tell me EXACTLY what happens when the error or problem occurs. It would really help if you could Printscreen the error. See here for how to do this.
My questions may not make much sense to you, but correct and concise answers will help diagnose your problem and if you follow my instructions (precisely!) I may be able to get you up and running without you needing to pay for a callout.
